Medical Administrative Specialist
 
Program Description 
 
This program if for individuals interested in performing administrative duties in
medical offices, hospitals, and other medical facilities. Qualified students may take the Certified Medical Administrative Specialist (CMAS) exam offered through AMT (American Medical Technologists), as well as the CPC (Certified Professional Coder) national certification exam offered through the AAPC (American Academy of Professional Coders). Cost of certification exams, books, uniforms, supplies and an iPod mini are included in the course fee. Additional hours are allotted two weeks prior to the beginning of the course for a WorkKeys Workshop, in which student will take WorkKeys tests on the first day of the workshop. If benchmarks are not met, student will continue in workshop and retake test(s) on the last day of workshop.
