Welcome to the TCTC capstone project home page.  Here you will find information about what this project is and what will be asked of students.

Capstone is required of all students for TCTC completion.  However, students from the Class of 2020 using Capstone for Graduation to earn their high school diploma through Option 1 will be working with the TCTC Student Success counselor to meet additional requirements outlined by the ODE.

What is the capstone project?

Students will participate in a Capstone Project, which will showcase all of their work from their junior and senior year at TCTC.  When students enter their junior year, they will develop a website that displays their academic, program and employment artifacts for their entire time while attending TCTC.  Ultimately, this website can be used as a digital career passport to help students pursue future career development or post secondary education options.

What will the website look like?

The new website will showcase student learning in lab and academics with product evidence, artifacts, assignments, etc.  Written reflections can added throughout so students can reflect on their learning and the growth mindset. Students can take before and after pictures, pictures of products, competitions, skills, job shadowing, awards, etc.  The website will also display examples of student character, hobbies, interests, etc.
