This course focuses on the eleventh grade content standards in Language Arts. The standards include work in the following categories: acquisition of vocabulary, refinement of reading and writing processes, reading and writing applications, research, and both oral and visual communication skills. The course focuses on American Literature from the 1920’s through the 1980’s with special emphasis on writing and reading skills. Video and other technological modalities are also utilized as a means to foster critical thinking skills. Students will also participate in a theatrical production.
