This course will provide an in-depth exploration of the topics introduced in Algebra II. Critical thinking and problem solving skills will be further reinforced, as students continue to expand on the material covered in previous courses. Topics covered in this course will include: Rational, trigonometric, polynomial, exponential and logarithmic expressions, functions and equations; Solutions to quadratic equations; Properties of and operations with Real and Complex numbers; Systems of equations; Properties of trigonometric functions and expressions; Sequences and series. During the course, students will also work to prepare for college placement tests such as the ACT. Algebra 3 will prepare students for a course in Trig/ Pre-Calc, College Algebra or (College-Prep Math- to be offered at a later date).
