Salutes Students in Interactive Multimedia at TCTC

On Friday, November 17, a surprise was in store for the students in the Interactive Multimedia program. Five fresh baked pumpkin pies were delivered courtesy of the Warren Baking Company. The students were recognized for their efforts to make the community more aware of the roles of volunteer service agencies in our valley.
The students have used their program skills to create brochures describing the services provided by these agencies. They have also produced Public Service Announcements on their behalf. Some of these organizations include, Relay for Life, Sheltered Reality, Rescue Missions, Habitat for Humanity, Adopt a Highway and Make a Difference.
Interactive Multimedia is a tech prep program that focuses on digitally generated or computer enhanced media. Students use technology to develop products and programs for business, training, entertainment, communications and marketing purposes.
Some of the entry level careers available to program completers include television editor, production assistant, script writer, graphic designer, digital photographer and web site designer. Samplings of the careers available with further education are photo journalist, anchorperson, radio/TV station manager and TV commercial producer.
