Students in our Teaching Professions chapter of Educators Rising collected 2,900 books to donate to the Reach Out and Read program. Reach Out and Read is a nonprofit organization that works with pediatricians' offices to collect and distribute books to families in areas of poverty. Last year the class donated the most books of all Ohio's Educators Rising chapters, with a donation of 1,148 books. They crushed that number this year. Thanks to everyone who donated to this worthy cause; and thank you to the students for taking on this worthwhile project to support early literacy.
