1. Proceed to EBSCOhost.(through the “core collection” of www.infohio.org)

One of the best resources for looking at journal and magazine articles is in EbscoHost through the infohio.org site. Ask for the handout with specific instructions on accessing the databases.

     NOTES: When choosing an “All Database” search, be sure to select MEDLine.

                     You can also select title list from “All Database” search and read a particular journal.

2. Proceed to Access Science.(through the “core collection” of www.infohio.org)

Also in the “Core Collection” of infohio.org, Access Science can be searched  by subtopic.

 

 

3. Consumer Health Complete and NetWellness  (public library databases)

You need your public library barcode to access this site.

     ► Go to http://www.oplin.org

     ► Choose “Research Databases” (you will be prompted to enter your library barcode)

     ► Select “Consumer Health Complete” and then the section you want to search

Once in the http://www.2facts.com site (you need username and password), click on the “Today’s Science” tab to enter the science database. There are some health and medical related articles.

6. The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services @ http://www.healthfinder.gov/

   

7. Fealth @ http://www.fealth.com/

    A specialized search engine designed for health topics.
