A Dozen Resources for CPTP students

Subscription sites

1. Proceed to EBSCOhost.(through the “core collection” of www.infohio.org)

One of the best resources for looking at journal and magazine articles is in EbscoHost through the infohio.org site. A handout with specific instructions on accessing the databases is available.

     NOTES: Username and password required when using from home.

                     Choose databases according to your search purpose.

                     Be sure to try:  EBSCO resources used by educators.

                     Select title list to browse a particular journal.

2. Public Library Databases 

You need your public library barcode to access this site.

     ► Go to http://www.oplin.org

     ► Choose “Research Databases” (you will be prompted to enter your library barcode)

          (Most are the same as Infohio. You should just know that these exist).

Once in the http://www.2facts.com site (you need username and password), click on the “Today’s Science” tab to enter the science database. There are some general articles and topic overviews in this site.
