Warren, OH — The Trumbull Career & Technical Center (TCTC) invites members of the media to attend a special campus visit by acclaimed young adult author Jeff Zentner on Monday, April 20, 2026.
Zentner, a nationally recognized author best known for his novels In the Wild Light and Goodbye Days, will engage hundreds of TCTC junior and senior students through interactive presentations and a student meet-and-greet. He will share insights into his writing, discuss the inspiration behind his work, and take questions directly from students.
“Our English classes have read his two books, and the students are so engaged with the content,” said Cara DeToro, Academic Supervisor. “We knew this author visit would be incredibly well received, and we are thrilled that Mr. Zentner is making this experience possible for our students.”
The event supports TCTC’s ongoing Literacy Plan, which emphasizes community collaboration and a shared commitment to strengthening reading skills across the school. Over the past three years, TCTC educators have participated in extensive professional development focused on Science-of-Reading practices to enhance student literacy outcomes.
